As the leading voice for Parkinson’s in Europe, they provide information and resources to all Parkinson’s stakeholders, raise awareness of the disease’s complexities and impact, and advocate for concrete policy change that benefits the Parkinson’s community.

Situation

The EPDA experienced a severe Trojan attack on the their website and none of the backup’s that had been set-up were working deleting six months of work.

Solution

To resolved the issue further website encryption, developing a script to produce secure cloud backups, improved firewall and regular updates to the server. Additional control over access to the systems was put in place.

Result

The approach meant improved web and data security and safeguarded the organisation for the future.
